Hosted by the prestigious Baking Association of Australia, this competition is the ultimate battleground for the best doughnuts in the country, and we are beyond thrilled to share that we brought home not one, but two incredible wins!
1st Place: Traditional Jam Doughnut - Pump up the Jam
Our "Pump up the Jam" doughnut, a heavenly treat filled with our luscious house-made raspberry jam and dusted with sugar, took the top spot in the traditional jam doughnut category. The judges couldn’t resist its perfect balance of sweetness and tang, making it a clear winner. If you haven't tried this juicy delight yet, you're in for a real treat!
2nd Place: Glazed Doughnut - Original Glaze
In the hotly contested glazed doughnut category, our "Original Glaze" doughnut earned a well-deserved second place. With its crackly, sweet vanilla bean glaze, this classic doughnut showcased our dedication to perfecting even the simplest of treats. It’s a timeless favorite that never fails to impress.
After an intense 22-hour day of crafting these doughnut masterpieces, our Head Chef and the entire DoughHeads team are over the moon with these wins. Anna Farthing, our Founder and Creative Mastermind, shared her excitement:
